Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the Service.
(on-site = customer address or a business premise the customer wishes MR TechIT to attend, remote = over the phone, email, text, WhatsApp, remote control software such as Quick Assist)
When accepting a service, you agree to the charges set out on the Pricing Page of the website, which can be found here: https://mrtechit.net/pricing
NO parts are included in any of the prices on the website or terms and conditions.
Mileage and/or travel time may be chargeable depending on location. Currently, 45p per mile and £55ph of travel. This will be agreed upon before work is carried out and applies to the outbound and return journey.
If parking at the customer’s site is unavailable, travel time may be added to the customer’s invoice at the current hourly rate (from the parking position to the site and return).
Free local collection/return is within a 10-mile radius of CV23 1AU. Anything over is charged at 45p per mile and may be subject to travel time as above. If item is not repaired for any reason a £10 charge may be applicable.
If equipment is not collected for a period of 45 days it will be securely disposed of and the customer charged £45.
Balance of the invoice is required on completion of the work by cash, bank transfer or card payment (not all cards are accepted; please check with MR TechIT beforehand).
It is possible that data stored electronically such as but not limited to photos, passwords, documents, multimedia, application settings or emails may be lost when upgrading or repairing any computer. MR TechIT will do everything possible to ensure this doesn’t happen. It is, however, the customer’s responsibility to ensure any such data is backed up either locally or to cloud services, as MR TechIT cannot accept any liability for data loss. Please let MR TechIT know if you require help backing up data, as this service is offered.
If data is encrypted in any way, e.g. BitLocker, it is the customer’s responsibility to have the decryption key or password available or a recovery method.
It is the customer’s responsibility to know any existing accounts, passwords, two-factor authentication and software keys required for any service undertaken by MR TechIT.
Original software may no longer be available; MR TechIT is unable to do anything about this.
Multiple parts can be needed for a repair. This isn’t always obvious initially, so extra parts may be needed after new parts have already been fitted, leading to extra costs to be paid for by the customer.
On-site visits do not guarantee a fix or solution, and the charge for the total time on-site is applicable, whatever the outcome. A total time cannot be guaranteed when on-site.
Parts are to be paid for upfront. These are non-refundable.
MR TechIT can refuse a service or repair for any reason. This may include but is not limited to the age of the item, safety, distance to travel or spare parts availability.
Services may be withdrawn or changed at any time without any prior notice.
Free advice and recommendations only apply to remote services; anything on-site is chargeable. This is a free service and may not always be available and is subject to a fair usage policy.
Free Buying advice is a recommendation offered by MR TechIT based on the information the customer gives remotely. While MR TechIT will do their best in researching the most suitable product, it is the customer’s final decision in what they will purchase, and MR TechIT will not be held responsible for any loss, product unsuitability, faults with the product or any aftersales support with the vendor.
No fix, No fee ONLY applies if MR TechIT cannot repair, NOT if the customer decides not to repair. No fix, no fee only applies to off-site repairs.
MR TechIT does not guarantee that a repair or solution will always be available; on-site charges still apply at the full rate if this is the case.
On-site consultations are charged at the appropriate call-out rate.
New parts come with the manufacturer’s warranty. Refurbished parts come with no warranty. Any warranty issue is return to base, and MR TechIT will attempt to rectify the problem within a week when possible. This does not cover software or software-related issues.
If a part is supplied by a customer and is either dead on arrival when fitted or subsequently fails, full charges apply to remove and or replace the part.
PAYMENT TERMS
Payment is accepted by card, cash, bank transfer. Payment is required immediately upon completion of work; any delay may incur a late payment charge of £15.
